# Smart Bulk Image Upload

> Smart Bulk Image Upload is a Shopify app by Craftshift that bulk-uploads product images from Google Drive or Dropbox and attaches each image to the right product and variant by matching the file name to a SKU, barcode, product title, metafield or variant ID.

- **What it does:** Matches image files to Shopify products and variants by file name, previews every match, then uploads the images with alt text.
- **Image sources:** Google Drive and Dropbox (read-only access).
- **Match by:** SKU, barcode (EAN/UPC/GTIN), product title, product or variant metafield, variant ID (exact or partial), plus AI matching (beta).
- **Image order:** From the file name suffix: SKU_1.jpg, SKU_2.jpg, SKU_3.jpg. The first image becomes the variant image.
- **Limits handled:** Images over Shopify’s 20 MB or 20 megapixel limits are resized automatically. Formats: JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF.
- **Scale:** Tens of thousands of images per run, in the background, with automatic retries.
- **Pricing:** Free for 25 images. Unlimited uploads from $69/month (by Shopify plan), billed through Shopify.
